The SaurusThe saurus is a creature that has no real purpose. It's kind of like a dinosaur or maybe a rhinosaurus (rhinoceros) but definitely not like a tyrannosaurus as it is a very timid creature. The saurus tends to be a creature that produces a lot of heat, and because it can not sweat it pants, like a dog. The saurus enjoys a nice bucket of water or a drink from a stream. If the saurus consumes a dangerous liquid, it's primitive body stores it away, meaning it can become very large. Science-fictionisit (they're like scientisits, but for science fiction) say that this little guy is a pre-evoulitoun of the dinosaurs, because it is not a very complex life form. The saurus's thick skin and solid skeleton make it a very heavy creature, developed for desert life. The saurus lives in hot primordial plains in groups called trucks. The saurus is known to eat entire desert bushes
the saurus depicted is running too fast... This will eventually be remidied. |
Young SaurusThe young saurus is just learning the ways of the saurus world. This saurus is not as smart as the saurus, but he will learn. The reason mosts sauri are slow, or seem dim witted is because as a child they ram their heads against rocks, trees or even each other. This saurus is speedy, faster than the older saurus. It runs across the plains in search of rivers to drink from. When a collection of water has been depleted by a truck of sauri, the young sauri are sent out to scout leaving the older sauri without water for up to three days. The young sauri search until one finds water. When the lucky one gets to a stream or pool, it takes a deserved drink and heads back to it's truck to tell the rest of its truck where the water is. After that the hardest part of the young one's journey begins. It is left, usually with an older cousin, to wait for the rest of the young sauri. These, unsuccessful sauri search until their feet start to ache and their tail bleeds from being dragged due to exhaustion, at which point they sleep for at lest fifteen hours. When they wake, refreshed but thirsty, they head back to where the truck was hoping it has moved on because it means that water was found. All the young sauri meet up and head to the body of water, where their hard work is payed off until the stream runs dry, at which point the habit repeats.
The young saurus is the star of the Saurus Game, where he does everything from drink water, to ram down walls! |

Red SaurusThe red saurus is a different type of saurus, thought to be a post-evoulution of the saurus becasue of it's added on traits. It usually lives in dark places in large groups of sometimes hundreds, called a swarm. The red saurus has red eyes that developed over centuries of cave dwelling which help them see in the gloom. They went to the caves because of the cool temperature and water present within. The red saurus only leaves it's cave for short amounts of time and no longer pants as it has control of it's temperature. If it sees an invader in it's home cave, the head of the group will let out a long, chilling screech. Due to the nutrients required for breeding a swarm, the bone mass and lifespan of the red saurus is almost half that of the saurus, strenght sacrificed for numbers. However the rediced size and weight makes them much more suited to living in caves as a swarm.

Mini SaurusThe mini saurus is a small saurus that, like the saurus, lives in burining deserts. Like dinosaurs, some sauruses are very small while some are huge. The mini saurus has lighter skin that reflects more sunlight because it does not need as much heat for it's small body. Science-fictionists think that this saurus is what evolved into turtles, for it has a hard dome of thick bone covering it's back, as a protection from preditors. The saurus has been known to trip over the mini saurus.

Sea SaurusThe Sea Saurus is an aquatic creature that has both primitive lungs and gills on its chin. The Sea Saurus is NOT a deep sea creature, but instead lives on continantal shelves, where there is more sunlight and nutrients. The continental shelf is about 150m deep and can be over 100 km out to sea (although it is usually only 80 km). The sea saurus originated from sauruses that did not move locations when they were part of the continent during the glacial periods.

As the glaciers melted, all the sauruses that were near the edge of a continent had to migrate inland, and any that didn't ended up looking something like the Sea Saurus and living underwater. These sauruses would grow large tails to propel themselves forward as opposed to getting webbed feet (because sauruses don't have toes) or replacing the feet with flippers. Because of the inclusion of feet, the sea saurus tends to tread the sea floor in search of fish to eat. walking is it's preferred way of movement compared to tail-propulsion due to its weight. The diet of fish has caused it to grow spiked teeth to better chew it's prey. Despite the Sea Saurus's fearsome appearance, like other saurus (excluding the red) it does not react to aggression, and tends to ignore it, which is only possible because of its thick skin.

Garden SaurusThe most ferocious known Sauruses. Although it will also completely ignore humans, it will tear anything else to pieces, living or dead, from walls to birds of paradise. Unlike the Sea Saurus, this guy actually acts like he looks. Further evolutions of this Saurus have been reported to have higher intelligence, while some are reported to have odd extra limbs sprouting out but none of this can be confirmed...
The Garden Saurus tends to stay in forests as opposed to caves or the desert and quickly became a carnivore instead of omnivore like the Saurus. It has also attempted to camouflage, but it obviously isn't going to well. This is the fastest but easiest to kill Saurus and it's teeth are shorter and more dull than that of the Sea Saurus, the trade off form more crushing power and strongest jaw muscles. |

Symbio-saurusThanks to the awesome Brad for combining the saurus with one of his favourite Marvel characters; Venom. He send it to me with the email "CHECK THIS OUT...I VENOM'D HIM UP! This dude is so awesome its ungraspable!" Which happens to be very true.
The symbio-saurus happens to contrast the style of the saurus quite a bit, so it is unlikely it will appear in any games but it is worth putting up on the site! The symbio-saurus was created when a symbiote took over and consumed a lone young saurus. As it grew this saurus became much stronger and larger than any normal saurus. |
